This is a historic lighthouse off the Charleston SC coast. It used to be on Morris Island, an island that no longer exists. At high tide the water around it can get up to 10 feet. The Lighthouse itself is in danger. Even if you are not in the Charleston Area I encourage you to visit this [link] to save this national landmark.

In the image, the tree branches are really there. I had to climb (illegally) a 15ft dune to get this shot. All of the colors and lighting effects have been tweaked. The only colors not tweaked were those of the lighthouse itself.

Greatphotograph. Love the athmosphere...the light of the lighthouse, the sky and the way the trees form a perfect natural frame around it is fantastic.

Wow the twigs do a really nice job of framing it. I like all the muted colors and the lightness in the center.

I was actually very lucky to find this shot. After climbing up some rather large dunes carefully avoiding the "Stay off Dunes" signes. I walked back like 10 meters to find the right angle, and low and behold the branches had naturally grown this way.
